Adventures with Sashay yarn and Giveaway!

Want to win something really cool? I recently won a pattern from a giveaway and set it aside, I knew it would be awhile before I could go to Hobby Lobby up in Roswell to buy the special Sashay yarn that was needed for the skirt part of the dress. Then last week I was wondering around our local Walmart and did like I always do. I walked down the yarn aisle to see if there was anything new in stock, and low and behold on the end cap I found Red Heart Sashay yarn! I was instantly giddy. So giddy in fact that I took a picture and labeled it as "score".

That night I set aside time and started on the dress, something I thought I could whip up in no time flat, after all I'm pretty fast at crocheting when I don't have munchkins climbing all over me. In fact it took me about 3 days to complete the whole dress. The top was a breeze, but crocheting with the Sashay yarn took a little bit to get used too. I eventually mastered it and it turned into something very beautiful, something I am very proud of.

Finally I decided to add a headband and have my 3 year old model it, sadly I have no daughters, but since my son is the right size, heck why not right? Needless to say Jeff was not thrilled that I had his first born in a dress, but also that his son liked being in the dress. I think this picture will fit perfectly in the "embarrass Brodie in front of his friends" photo album.

So now to the good stuff. I want to give this cute little outfit away to one lucky winner! This dress set is valued at $45 in my shop, but you can win this exact dress if you're the lucky one chosen by Rafflecopter! It is a size 3T - 4T.
